Albert Hammond Jr probably doesn’t need much of an introduction, but we’re gonna give him one anyway. The Strokes’ Fender-wielding guitarist branched out on his own back in 2006 but with his third full length release, Momentary Masters, we’re proud as punch to announce that it will be released through Infectious on July 31st.

First single ‘Losing Touch’ gives you a hint of what’s to come; a sharp, poppy earworm of a track which stays with you for days. Momentary Masters continues in the same vein, creating a body of work that sees Hammond flex his creative muscles to infinitely pleasing effect and retains enough of Jr’s distinctive indie garage roots while ever pushing his foot on the accelerator. While “solo career” has traditionally been synonymous with second-best efforts, with Momentary Masters, Hammond Jr has created something which not only stands on its own merits but surpasses the bar that’s already been set

Strokes diehards and novices alike, keep your eyes peeled for this one!
