Animal Collective release new single and announce UK live dates

29th June 2009 sees the digital download and 12” vinyl release of Summertime Clothes, the second mind-blowing single taken from Animal Collective’s universally acclaimed LP, Merriweather Post Pavilion. Summertime Clothes is a deliriously warm and instantly infectious track with a euphoric refrain ‘so brilliant, so full of joy that it’s confounding’ (Plan B).

Remixes are courtesy of Hyperdub’s elusive and spooky beatmaker, Zomby, LA’s ‘Ambassador of Boogie Funk’ Dam-Funk, and South London breakbeat and dubstep producer, LD.

Animal Collective recently gave a stunning performance of Summertime Clothes on the David Letterman show in the US. The band were joined by Brooklyn dance troupe FLEX who will also feature in the forthcoming Danny Perez directed video.
