BONIFACE ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE ‘WAKE ME BACK UP’
OUT NOW ON TRANSGRESSIVE RECORDS

SET TO SUPPORT CIRCA WAVES
ON THEIR EUROPEAN TOUR THIS OCTOBER
Boniface says of the video:

“Wake Me Back Up is about feeling you’re on the brink of something significant. In my case it was a relationship, but it could be anything that feels important to you right now. The video was directed by my brother Joey, made with the help of some kind and talented friends. We filmed it in a very hot garage a few weeks back. Actually, the same garage the song was written in a few summers ago.”

Recorded in London earlier this year whilst working on material for his highly-anticipated debut album, ‘Wake Me Back Up’ is a propulsive, synthpop anthem, co-produced alongside Neil Comber (Glass Animals, Declan McKenna, Gengahr) and featuring a rip roaring guitar solo from labelmate Ben Gregory of Blaenavon.

The song follows a run of singles from the 21 year-old that have received critical acclaim, championed by the likes of NME, DIY, Wonderland, The Sunday Times and more. Annie Mac recently chose Boniface as her ‘New Name’ and Radio X added previous single Ghosts to their playlist.

With an exciting future ahead of him, and reliably making moving, gorgeously textured music with each assured step, Boniface joins Calpurnia and Dizzy as another fascinating and exciting new Canadian export.
The past year has also seen Boniface tour extensively on both sides of the Atlantic, alongside Let’s Eat Grandma, Blaenavon, White Lies, Foals and most recently Joy Formidable. Next, they will be joining Circa Waves on their upcoming European tour this October. Full live dates are below.
